Quality, Enviroment and Safety

Quality allows Stap to work towards excellence in the "rehabilitation" segment of the construction industry by:

  • Providing services that meet its Clients' requirements and those pertaining to applicable legal and regulatory standards;

  • Continuous improvement of the company's internal organization and resource management, with greater effectiveness and efficiency;

  • Improving its industry-specific know-how and continuously educating its staff.

This allows the Board of Directors to ensure that the resources needed to operate and continuously improve the Quality Management System are in place to meet the requirements of the NP EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Stap - On the road to Excellence

At the end of 2003, APCER confirmed the certification of Stap's Quality Management System, under the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The company's ability to meet the requirements set forth in that standard were thus recognised, as a result of its Quality commitment, which, in 1999 made Stap the first Portuguese company to obtain a certificate for "structure repair, consolidation, and alteration".

This was the completion of the Quality Management System transition process towards meeting the new requirements established by that standard, along with the incorporation of quality management at the level of the SME Group to which Stap belongs, through the automation of several processes (document management, audit, non-conformity and complaints, corrective actions and preventive and improvement actions), using a specific application for this purpose.

In 2004, Stap will continue to strive to achieve Excellence, with a scheduled self-assessment exercise using the EFQM Excellence Model.
